Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair

I miss the old style of Arctic Monkeys...

The first two albums were awesome but then I found an article that said 'Alex Turner has said he finds it hard playing some of the band's older songs live.'

In an interview with the Daily Star, Turner said: "Sometimes it's tough to get through one of the old ones live. You know, you don't feel like that any more."

He went on to compare performing the same songs with telling the same joke again and again. "When you tell the same joke 600 times, you won't hear what it is any more, but then sometimes, like, the 601st time you might see something in it you didn’t before."

He then expressed relief that the band's new songs had been so well received, meaning it was possible to drop older songs from their set-list. He also paid tribute to Laurence Bell, boss of their record label Domino. Turner said: "Laurence Bell was who came to sign us in the first place. He allowed us to try different things. It's not a situation like you hear about with a label guy in the studio saying: 'I was looking for this or that'."
 
And then, I think every great band changes.

It's likely they are more happy playing the band's new material. Taken from the NME, Alex said:
"To us, it sounds like an atypical British thing. I don't think it's a saying that people worldwide would use or even understand."

I guess, Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair is the evolution of Arctic Monkeys. 
Alex has said countless times in interviews that they'll never musically go hack to where they started. and that's where their core fan base is/was. If they don't appreciate their new style, that's fine, but don't sit down 'cause they've moved your chair.

I think as a fan I should just be happy for them, and I love their new album anyway! AM is as ace as the band. Rock on boys!!

Oh and by the way I miss the old Jamie and I'd wish he'd cut the hair a little.
