So long, How I Met Your Mother
As the last two episodes of HIMYM (Last Forever
Part 1&2) has aired. I would like to write down my favorite episode of each
season. Here we go.
On this 200th episode, The mother recounts how she met Ted and what she’s been up to for the past eight years. This episode explains what the Mother was up to in the years before she met Ted and is recounted in a series of flashbacks that intertwine with what was going on in the gang's lives at the time. The best thing that I found in this episode is when The Mother was getting a breakup with her boyfriend and she check in to The Farhampton Inn and take her ukulele out to the porch of her room overlooking the water and sing an English rendition of La Vie en rose to herself. Ted is revealed to have heard the entire performance having been on his adjacent porch the entire time and is visibly moved. And then Future Ted explain while he has since heard the Mother sing the song many times over, nothing will ever replace how he felt when he heard her for the first time that night.
SEASON 1
The Pineapple Incident:
So, the episode started like any other, they
were downstairs at the bar. And then,

| Carl (The bartender) gave them five drink of his own concoction (The Red Dragon) |
After that, Robin left the bar for a dinner with
a hundred-millionaire. And the rest of the gang gave Ted a
challenge to do the five shots, and he did. And when he was waking up the
following morning, he found out there’s

A Pineapple on the table.

And,

A girl slept next to him.

And also the sprained ankle and burnt coat. Then he asked Marshall, Lily, and Barney about those things, nd they had no idea about the girl and the pineapple except for
the sprained ankle and the burnt coat. But then the girl woke up and showed
up, and filled them in, told them the rest of the story. But they never found
out where that pineapple came from.
SEASON 2
Crazy Eyes:
The story began when a (cute) coffee girl wrote a
heart by Marshall’s name in his coffee cup and Ted thought that the girl had a
crush on Marshall. Marshall explained that he always cracked that coffee girl
up when he came over by telling the pumpkin jokes, that was actually not funny
at all but that might be the reason why did the coffee girl liked Marshall.
Marshall started a date with the coffee girl
(Her name is Chloe). After that, Ted, Robin, and Barney tried to explain
to Lily that Marshall had have a date, but Lily didn’t take it well plus Ted
and Barney started to think that Chloe had crazy eyes. Lily ruined Marshall and
Chloe’s date.
After that, Marshall felt so sad and went out
to find Lily. They explained to each other that they missed each other so much
and they back together!
Another interesting thing in this episode is when
everybody started to call Barney, Swarley, and Barney really didn’t take it
well.
SEASON 3
How I Met Everyone Else:
Ted introduced his new date to the gang at the
bar, her name is ‘Blah’. Blah told the gang about the fake story of how she met
ted because she was embarrassed they met online. Then, Lily and Marshall tell
her about how they both met and Blah asked Robin.
Ted discovered that Blah felt insecure, thus he
told the story of how he met everyone else. And there was a conflict between
how he and Lily met, it was a freshman year and they both made out at the
party, but he didn’t want to ruin Lily and Marshall's relationship so he kept his mouth shut
and Blah got mad and left him.
SEASON 4
The Best Burger In N.Y:
When Robin ordered five burgers at McLaren’s,
Marshall remembered the best burger he ever had in N.Y, he’d looked for it for
so many times but he never found out. After that the gang decided to search the
burger. And, after so many different place they went to.
They nailed it!
SEASON 5
Home Wreckers:
Ted is stunned when his mother and her boyfriend (Clint) announce they are going to be married.
The gang then doesn’t see him for nearly three days, after which Ted revealed
that he has bought a house. The gang questioned his decision, as the house is
old and dilapidated, but Ted is convinced he’ll fix up the house once he starts
a family. The group berated Ted for made this decision too early, seeing as he
isn’t even married yet. And then, Ted wondered if he would ever have the life
he dreamed of. Lily
cheered him up by telling him to bash the house with a sledgehammer, and the
whole group had fun smashed a wall with it.
Meanwhile, Barney
took every opportunity to mock Robin for crying when Clint was singing. Future Ted
then revealed the house became his future home, with
the broken wall transformed into one with a cabinet and lighted shelves, the
very wall which Ted’s kids are sitting in front
of.
SEASON 6
Subway Wars:
Marshall just got a text message from Max (his
friend) who spotted Woody Allen at the restaurant downtown, Robin interested to
see him but the rest of the gang didn’t, after that Ted, Lily, and Marshall
teased her for not being a real New Yorker, she got mad. Ted discovered that it
took 6 six miles from McLaren’s to the restaurant. Then, the gang all race to catch a glimpse of
the Woody Allen. Too bad, they all arrived at the same time and though Ted
proposed they declared a tie, they immediately continued the race back to
McLaren’s. Everyone in the gang.
really needed a
win that day, except Barney, well because his life was perfect that time. At
the road, Marshall and Lily figured out how silly they were and discussed about
their problem and decided to go to Coney Island to have fun, at the same time Ted,
Barney, and Robin race for the finish, and Robin finally won the race!-wait for
it- that was Barney. Barney had spotted that Robin had been crying earlier, and
purposefully tripped Ted and himself so Robin could win. While Robin enjoyed
her winning and talked with Max, she finally became a "real" New
Yorker that day because Robin then kills a cockroach on the table with her
hand, thus fulfilled all three tasks.
SEASON 7
Disaster Averted:
Kevin noticed a
sign out front of McLaren's saying "No Boogie Boarding"
which made Ted told him about the day of the hurricane. Meanwhile, Lily and Barney got calls from their parents
and Robin
got jealous but she denied it, then Barney give her call as if he was her
father, Robin got mad. Throughout those all, Marshall’s health
insurance has expired and he was seeing death everywhere. He refused to go
anywhere without Lily because he thought he would be attacked by a bear. Lily
complained that he wasn’t giving her enough time to be alone and that all she
wanted to do is sit in the bath and read a book. During the storm Marshall
poured Lily a bath and told her to have a little alone time. Lily said she
wanted Marshall to stay and they end up conceived their baby in Barney's
bathroom. Barney has grown tired of his ducky tie and Lily and Marshall agreed
that he could take it off but he must gain an extra 3 slaps to his already
existing final slap which gave Marshall 4 slaps. Marshall then gave out two
slaps right there and then. And in the end of the episode, Barney and Robin
hook up in the cab.
SEASON 8

Lily got call
from Judy and Lily told her that she and Marshall was so busy packing for Rome,
and Judy got surprised and mad, she wanted to see Marvin before they all move
to Rome, but Lily had a job. While Marshall and Marvin at Minnesota, Judy kept
making jokes that she either won’t let then to move to Rome whice drove Lily
mad. Lily called Marshall and Marshall assured her that nothing is going to
change their plans of moving to Rome. As Lily hung up the phone, Marshall got
call about his application for a judgeship in N.Y. Marshall got doubt after
that, because he had to choose. At the bar, Ted informed Lily that the renovation
of his house in Westchester was complete then she accompanied him to see the
house, and saw a "For Sale" sign. Then she asked Ted about it, and he
told her that he was soon moving to Chicago.
He told her that
he has looked everywhere in New York for the love of his life and has failed,
and that maybe she is in Chicago. Lily then told him that there was a locket
from Robin that she kept for so many years and told him where she kept it but
she also warned Ted not to give that locket to Robin. Meanwhile, after being
done with their wedding arrangements, Barney and Robin went to a dinner date at
a restaurant. Too bad, there was a couple that screw their celebrations and
drove they mad.
After that Robin
and Barney decided to ruin that couple’s relationship. Outside the restaurant,
Barney and Robin celebrated the breaking the couple up by smoking the cigars
that Barney brought. The obnoxious couple then walked up to them and told them
that instead of broke up, they actually got engaged. Barney and Robin
congratulated them.
